Eligible to apply are established organisations from European countries neighbouring the Nordic region - primarily Belgium, Estonia, France, Germany, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, and the United Kingdom. Note that organisations based in the Nordic countries are not eligible to apply.

The project must involve a minimum of three partners, including the applicant, from three different countries. While the applicant may not be based in a Nordic country, the project must include at least two actively participating partners from different Nordic countries. Partner eligibility is determined by the country of residence or establishment, not by nationality. (Embassies and other foreign missions should be listed under their country of operation, not the country that they represent).

Co-financing through local, national, or other funding sources from the country where the activities will take place is a prerequisite for projects to be eligible for Nordic Currents. Do you apply as an undertaking as defined in the European Commission regulation 1407/2013?

Funding from the Nordic Council of Ministers, including from pan-Nordic institutions and other co-operative bodies, is paid in accordance with the procedure below, which corresponds to the rules in the de minimis regulation. (Commission Regulation (EU) No 1407/2013 of 18 December 2013 on the application of Articles 107 and 108 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union to de minimis aid, EUT L 352/1, 24.12.2013). If funding is paid to companies, the ordinance permits the granting of state aid provided that the total amount per recipient does not exceed EUR 300,000 per country over a period of three fiscal years.

Nordic Culture Point will use the information in this declaration to assess how much funding can be granted within the scope of the provisions of the de minimis ordinance.
